My Neighbor's Roses

I'm kind of pleased with this one. It was very hard to do. These roses were in my neighbor's garden, Mr. Prestridge, and he kindly allowed me to take lots of pictures of them.

In order to get these variegated roses, I blew up portions of the picture and printed them out on photo grade paper. The difference is amazing and everybody who paints from photos ought to try this.

Here it is, it's entitled, "My Neighbor's Roses".

I was told by a student that this was another masterpiece, however, I am not totally pleased with it as of yet.

This one was a combo, by that I mean that I isolated 3 pictures of roses and combined them into a composition, and this is how it turned out as a painting.

Yellow Roses

My goodness, I got locked out of here for a little while. Geez.

Here's my latest painting, I finally decided to try some roses! I think I turned a huge corner with this one!

This is a full sheet on Arches 140 lb. cold press bright white paper. It was an absolute joy to paint too.
